Hands

A young narrator talks about the many things her parents make by hand, like wooden birdhouses and colorful quilts out of patches of fabric. She also tells of how her parents have encouraged her own artistic nature by giving her a place of her own in which to work and create, and how she and her parents all use their hands and work together when they tend to their garden.
